這個訪談問了很多有趣的問題 XD，Norman的部分前面在問拍戲的作息，後面開始問一些有的沒的...算是時尚方面的問題...(?)

You are looking very muscular and fit. You must get a good workout just playing Daryl Dixon. Are there any exercises you do in addition to your on-set workout?

你看起來身材不錯也很健康，演出Daryl Dixon應該算是一種運動了吧，除此之外你還有其他運動的習慣嗎?

Yeah, running around the woods of Georgia all day long, constantly sweating and carrying a 50-pound crossbow is a pretty good workout. Even when we are shooting nights, I’m still running, punching, stabbing and killing. That keeps you a lean, mean animal. Aside from that, I swim and jump rope a lot. In my trailer, I work out with free weights and do situps and push-ups. I’m just trying to stay lean and active looking. I think it would be ridiculous for Daryl to take his shirt off, and have a ripped six-pack and bulging pecs. I have to tailor my workouts to whatever injuries or soreness my body is going through on any given day — like I can’t do pull-ups when my shoulder is wrecked.

對啊，整天在喬治亞州跑來跑去，揮汗揹著一把50磅的十字弓的確算是不錯的運動，就算在夜晚的場景我也是不斷跑跳和揮刀打鬥，絕對可以保持削瘦。除此之外，我常游泳和跳繩，待在休息室的時候我會舉啞鈴，做伏地挺身和仰臥起坐。我試著看起來像活動量很大的瘦 - 如果Daryl有天把上衣脫掉然後居然有六塊肌和大塊胸肌看起來會很可笑。我的運動隨著每天身體狀況改變 - 如果我的肩膀受傷了，那當然就不能做伏地挺身了。

What does your diet consist of?

你的節食內容包括?

I basically eat a lot of proteins, and I’ve been eating smaller portions of food. I try to eat all locally raised and organic produce. Generally, I go to the grocery store and cook. You either plan out what you’re going to eat that day or you end up at a local restaurant in Georgia, which serves mostly rich, fatty, fried foods and dessert-type stuff.

我攝取很多蛋白質，並且減少每餐的分量，我試著吃本地產或是有機的食物。大部分的時候我計畫好要吃什麼然後自己買菜來煮，不然的話就是去本地的餐廳，但大部分喬治亞州的料理都是油炸，高熱量的食物或是甜品類的東西。

Are there any foods or drinks that you miss?

你有想念什麼食物或飲料嗎?

I live in Chinatown, in New York. I really miss the noodles I get there. I miss some of the rich foods back home. I have cut out bread, pasta and beer. I’ve also cut out Starbucks — and I love Starbucks! I’m trying to stay away from sugar. But restricting myself leaves me wanting more, which makes me hungrier and meaner, which is good.

我住在紐約的中國城，我很想念那裡賣的麵。我現在很少吃麵包和義大利麵之類的東西，也減少喝啤酒，我盡量少攝取糖分所以我連星巴克都很少喝了 - 可是我超愛星巴克的。刻意避免這些食物讓我更想吃這些東西，我變的很兇很餓，這是好事。

You work nights and long hours in the heat. Does everyone stay on top of keeping hydrated?

你們在高溫下工作時間很長，也拍很多夜戲，大家都有好好補充水分嗎?

Oh yeah. There is always someone coming at you with a water bottle and some sort of Emergen-C drink. There are like 20,000 packets of those on set. People faint on this show, so it’s really important.

喔，是的，會一直有人幫忙遞水瓶或是維他命C飲料，片場大概有兩萬包維他命C飲料粉末吧，拍片時真的會有人昏倒，所以補充水分很重要。

You look younger than your 43 years. Do you think all the sweating, exercise and clean eating is part of the reason your skin looks so good?

你看起來比43歲年輕，你覺得這些大量運動和健康飲食是你皮膚這麼好的原因嗎?

Sure, all that is good. But there’s something about being out in nature that gives the skin a glow. Georgia is so natural and clean. You don’t get that New York kind of smut and grime all over you. There are trails that you can take that lead you to these waterfalls; it’s really nice. I miss it sometimes after we’ve wrapped.

當然這些都很有幫助，但是常待在野外也會讓你的皮膚變好，喬治亞州環境很天然，很乾淨，不像在紐約會被很多灰塵和髒汙包圍。那裡很棒，甚至有直通瀑布的小徑，我們殺青後我常常會想念那裡。

You must need a good sunblock, what with all the sun and sweat. What works best?

You know, I just wake up, get out of bed, jump on my motorcycle and ride to set. Then I put myself in the very capable hands of the hair and makeup ladies on the show. They have it down.

你知道，我只負責起床然後騎車到片場，之後我讓梳化部門的專業化妝師們幫我，她們能搞定一切。

Your hair always looks cool. What does it take to make your hair look more like Daryl, less like Norman?

你的髮型總是很酷，你如何讓頭髮看起來比較像Daryl而不是像Norman?

The haircut they give me for the show is basically the same cut as in Season 1, only grown out. I have naturally blond hair, so the hairdresser dyes it darker to enhance the darkness of my character. She uses this pomade that she makes herself. It’s really good for your hair and keeps it looking more sweaty, the way we like it.

他們幫我剪的髮型基本上和第一季一樣，只是留長一點。我的天然髮色是金髮，為了襯托角色的黑暗面，髮型師會幫我染成深色一點，她還用一種自製的髮蠟會讓頭髮看起來像汗濕的樣子，我們喜歡那樣。

For your everyday hair style, do you use a particular product, or is there a particular person who cuts it?

你日常的髮型有特定的人幫你剪嗎? 你平常都使用哪些產品?

There is this guy in New York named Cup Cakes who comes to my house. But in general I don’t do much, and I don’t use any particular products. I just push it off my face with the back of my right hand. That’s my styling routine. The only time I really care is when the look of my hair is an integral part of a character I am playing.

在紐約有一個叫Cup Cakes的髮型師來我家剪，但是大致上來說我沒有特別使用什麼產品。我的整髮程序就是用右手把掉到臉上的頭髮撥到旁邊。除非髮型是我正在演出的角色的一部分我才會特別注意頭髮。

You always look stylish yet comfortable. What is your usual choice in clothes?

你的打扮總是看起來時尚又舒適，你平時穿衣的標準是什麼。

I’m a T-shirt-and-Levi’s type of a guy. I have this black corduroy jacket I wear all the time. I like Raf Simons; he makes a great suit.

我是T-shirt加牛仔褲型的，我常穿同一件燈芯絨夾克。我喜歡Raf Simons的西裝，他做的西裝都很好。

What is the one thing you always have on you, besides your phone?

除了手機之外，有什麼東西是你一定隨身攜帶的?

A pair of classic Ray Ban sunglasses. I don’t leave home without them.

我的Ray Ban太陽眼鏡，我出門一定帶上。

Is there another actor whose style and talent you really admire?

你有欣賞哪位演員的風格或是特色嗎?

I’m a big Gary Oldman fan. He always looks great. But I think it has more to do with his face than his clothes.

我是Gary Oldman的影迷，他總是看起來很棒，但我覺得那不是因為他的打扮，是他長相的關係。

What are some qualities you find attractive or unattractive in women?

你欣賞或不欣賞有哪些特色的女性?

Geez, I don’t know. I don’t really like it when anybody — boy or girl — is overly made up, unless they think of themselves as part of an art project. As far as looks or style, I can’t really say I have a preference for anything in particular.

Geez，我不知道，我不喜歡 - 不論男女 - 裝扮太花俏，除非那是做為藝術的一部分，至於外表或風格，我沒有特別的喜好。

What personality traits do you find most appealing?

你覺得什麼樣的個人特質吸引你?

I’d say a sense of humor and honesty are really important. If a woman is dishonest, that kills it for me. I can’t even talk to her anymore. It’s hard going out with me though, because I’m always working, constantly gone, or on a plane going somewhere. So trusting someone is crucial to making it work; otherwise it gets weird. I have no problem treating a woman like a queen, doing everything I can for her, but there has to be trust. Someone who smiles and enjoys her life.

我想幽默感和誠實是很重要的。我不能忍受一個女人不誠實，那我連跟她說話都不想。但是跟我交往很困難吧，因為我總是在工作，總是不在身邊，或是正在飛機上前往某處，所以我想信任是很重要的，不然會很怪。我可以為一個女人付出很多，把她當女王一樣，但是信任真的很重要。還有就是要能享受生活和保持開心。

You are so dedicated and passionate about your work. Do you enjoy being with a woman who does something she is passionate about, as well?

你對於工作很熱情又專注，你也會喜歡對工作熱情的女性嗎?

Yes, absolutely. But she doesn’t have to be some supersuccessful career woman. If she just loves knitting sweaters, that’s great.

是的，當然。但是她不一定需要是一個超級成功的職業女性，她也可以只是很喜歡織毛衣，那也很棒。

What would you like the viewer to experience or come away with when tuning into “The Walking Dead”?

你希望Walking Dead的觀眾體驗到什麼或有看完節目什麼反應?

Well, I hope people get involved in the characters they are watching, and get invested. Feel for them and for what they are going through. See their mistakes and forgive them. The world of “The Walking Dead” is a very unforgiving one. There isn’t really any room for mistakes, but tons for forgiveness.

我希望觀眾認同他們看到的角色，對於他們的處境感同身受，看見他們的錯誤並願意原諒他們。Walking Dead的世界很殘酷，沒有什麼空間可以犯錯，但卻有很多空間可以原諒。

You’ve said it interests you to find something human in the dark roles you tend to play. Do you believe that underneath the darkness is some light, and under the light lurks a touch of darkness?

你說過發掘你演過的反派角色的人性面很有意思，你覺得所有的黑暗中下必有光明，光明之中也存有黑暗嗎?

Well, there can’t be one without the other. If there is a god, then there is a devil, right? Maybe sometimes they are not so different.

我覺得這兩者不可能單獨存在，如果有神的話也必然有惡魔不是嗎? 或著有時候時候這兩者並沒有那麼不同。

(這兩位的問答有點置入行銷感....感覺廣告打很兇...)

 Taylor, What color do you use to darken Norman’s hair?

Taylor，你用什麼顏色加深Norman的髮色?

I really like Redken Shades EQ, the semipermanent formula. Then I give Norman theRedken Color Extend Shampoo, to help the color last. It’s gentle and keeps the hair vibrant and soft.

我很喜歡Redken Shades EQ這個牌子的半永久染色，然後我給Norman同一個牌子的護色洗髮乳讓顏色持久，這個很溫和而且讓頭髮保持亮澤和柔軟度。

Is there a product you use to give his hair texture?

你使用什麼產品做頭髮造型?

Sometimes I use Bumble and Bumble Sumotech, a medium-weight molding product. I also make my own pomade — I’ve been calling it “Tay Tay Concoction.” It adds texture and makes the hair look wetter and sweatier; plus keeps it in condition. Everyone loves it on set.

我用Bumble and Bumble Sumotech的造型品，我也自己做髮蠟，我管它叫"Tay Tay Concoction"，可以讓頭髮增加分量和濕氣感，同時也可以護髮，劇組的大家都很喜歡。

Working with Norman as closely as you do, can you tell me some qualities about him that stand out most?

和Norman近距離合作，你可以告訴我們他有什麼與眾不同的特質嗎?

Norman is as sincere as they come. He is a straight shooter and very kind. That is what you want from an actor. I learn from everyone I work with. I’m very lucky. I love what I do.

Donna, can you tell me what you use to protect the actors’ skin from getting burned in the hot Georgia sun?

Donna，可以請妳告訴我們妳使用哪些產品來避免演員們被喬治亞州的烈陽曬傷嗎?

The best sunscreen I have found is Ocean Potion 45 — clear zinc oxide — for the face. And for the body, we use a spray-on sunscreen called Up and Up Sunscreen SPF 30, by Target. It sets the dirt and blood, adds sheen to the body and doesn’t turn white — it’s great!

我用過最好的臉部防曬是Ocean Potion 45，用在身上的是一種在Target(美國一個大賣場)買的噴霧防曬叫做"Up and Up Sunscreen SPF30"，會讓汗還有血漿凝固，增加身體的光澤而且不會泛白，很好用!

What is your favorite lip balm?

妳最喜歡的護唇膏是什麼?

The lip balm by La Mer is one of the best.

What works well to get all the dirt, grime and blood off the actors at the end of the day?

用哪些產品最容易讓演員們把身上的泥土和血汙洗乾淨?

I have everyone start by wiping off with Skyn Iceland Cleansing Towelettes. Then we prepare hot towels infused with lavender and peppermint to help freshen and soothe. I also give all the cast members Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Peppermint soap. It not only gets you clean, it keeps bugs away, too.

我讓每個人都先用Skyn Iceland Cleansing Towlettes擦一遍，然後用參有薄荷和薰衣草精油的熱毛巾舒緩，我給每個演員Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile 薄荷香皂，不但可以洗很乾淨，還可以防蟲!

Can you tell me a bit about working with Norman?

可以告訴我們一些和Norman合作時的事情嗎?

This is the best cast I’ve ever worked with. And now that we’re into our third season, everyone is settling into their groove and everyone is calmer. We’re a tight family now. Norman is wonderful. He cracks me up all the time. He always asks if he is bloody and dirty enough. He is so good at what he does. He’s a great actor.

這是我待過最好的劇組了，我們現在已經拍到第三季，每個人都比較習慣也比較穩定相處，我們就像一家人一樣。Norman是一個很好的人，他常常惹我笑，他總是一直問他是不是夠髒，血是不是夠多。他在工作上的表現非常出色，他是一個非常棒的演員。
